How long does it take to complete the program?
Program length depends on the course you choose.
- Cosmetology: 1,550 hours, about 10 months
- Hair Technician: 900 hours, about 6 months
- Esthiology: 600 hours, about 4 months
- Advanced Practice Esthiology: 500 hours, about 4 months
- Esthiology/Advanced Practice Esthiology Combination: 1,100 hours

Do you offer financial aid?
Yes. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Students can complete the FAFSA application at studentaid.gov, and our financial aid team can help explain available options, including payment plans.
Hastings Beauty School is also part of the Minnesota Financial Aid Program.
Do students work on real clients?
Yes. Students gain valuable hands-on experience by working with real clients in our student salon under the supervision of licensed instructors.
Do I need a high school diploma or GED?
Yes. Students must provide proof of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent to enroll.
When can I start?

Will I be prepared for the state licensing exam?
